Responsibilities:
The developer will work closely with Core Team members from Finance and Sales Operations under the direction of the Project Manager. We need someone with the technical knowledge and initiative to design, develop, and deploy high-quality enhancements.
A great deal of backlog analysis is performed at quarter-end, making its way into earnings calls, so this person must provide quick turnaround support when production issues arise.
They must also collaborate with the IT team with regard to all infrastructure matters affecting the tool such as directory management, security, backup, etc. We are considering a possible move to SQL Server 2005.
Qualifications:
Expert developer of MS Access, including report writing and query construction
Extensive, hands-on experience with accounting and financial systems
Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to interface with users, e.g. - for clarifying business requirements
Motivated and able to work independently
Reliable in delivering requested functionality on time
Able to handle pressure associated with strict deadlines and high visibility of projects
Organized for efficiency
Willing and able to document definitions and processes
Knowledge of SQL Server (optional)
Familiar with business process mapping using tools such as Visio (optional)
